Considering that Skipton originates from “Sheep-Town”, it is fitting that sheep reclaim the town on the first Sunday of July! Voted one of the “weirdest” events in the country, the day is great fun with lamb racing and a host of other sheep-related fun!

For a week in mid-August hundreds of scarecrows visit the lovely Kettlewell. Visitors (of the human kind) solve clues and puzzles as they try and find them all. A great excuse to explore this wonderful little Wharfedale village.
